Hi There!
My name is Nelson Eaton and welcome to Nelson Recruits.
I am a well-networked, tactical and proactive Recruiter and Human Resources Professional with over 15 years’ experience, helping both candidates and clients in the Engineering and Construction sectors here in Australia.
Yes, I recruit people, but I do a lot more than that. Specifically, I enable Engineering and Construction companies across Australia to deliver world-class, complex projects with the greatest chance of success and client satisfaction. How?
Simple – By providing the best and most relevant people for the job, project team and organisation.
In doing so, I also get the privilege of networking with amazing candidates across Australia and overseas, assisting them to discover their ideal role by unlocking hidden opportunities that lead to their next exciting journey.
I achieve this by leveraging my recruitment experience in Australia through local industry contacts, knowledge and strong relationships. I then present my candidates with the best opportunities to help them reach their goals faster – whatever they may be.
A little about me...
I initially cut my teeth in the recruitment agency arena, specialising in the Engineering & Construction sectors in Brisbane, QLD. These early years taught me a lot about the craft, the do’s and don’ts, which laid a great foundation to improve the overall recruitment experience for both candidates and clients. To broaden my skill set and “round myself out”, I went on to work as an Internal Recruiter and Recruitment Manager for various high profile engineering consultancies as well as hard-dollar construction contractors (some of which were past agency clients of mine).
This experience gave me a different perspective and approach to the recruitment function in terms of acting as a true Business Partner and taking a more objective, consultative view throughout the recruitment process.
In addition, by collaborating with a broad range of internal/external stakeholders, Hiring Managers, Leadership/Executive teams, along with understanding how to align recruitment strategy and tactics with the overarching business goals of the organisation, I have been given an extensive first hand look into exactly how successful resourcing activities directly contribute to company success, AND can either make or break a business, no matter the industry.
As a result, I bring to the table a very adaptable approach depending on the situation, providing the right balance of speed, sense of urgency and tenacity, tamed with a robust, consultative and customer oriented approach resulting in Win-Win outcomes for both Candidates and Clients.
